Hotel Termes La Garriga

La Garriga is a municipality in the Vallès Oriental region. Located 40 kilometres from Barcelona, it is part of the Montseny Natural Park.

La Garriga

The village is crossed from north to south by the river Congost, a tributary of the Besòs.

In the town's urban structure, the Paseo stands out strongly. It is an urban road opened in 1878 and is almost one kilometre long, shaded by two rows of 272 enormous banana trees that initially came from the Devesa Park in Girona. It is the most stately avenue in La Garriga.

La Garriga is known throughout Catalonia for its most important industry, that of furniture, as well as for its thermal waters, for its modernist summer buildings and for the flower carpets that are made during the Corpus Christi festival.

The Maurí Foundation Museum-Library, located in Cardedeu Street in La Garriga, contains the testamentary legacy of the illustrious notary José Maurí y Serra, the favourite son of La Garriga.
